Tora Outstation
Tora Outstation homestead is nestled amidst 3 acres of landscaped grounds, on a 2,500 acre South Wairarapa sheep and beef farm. A stone's throw from the banks of the Awhea River, the historic 'Tora Outstation' is a tastefully-decorated, enchanting and character-filled 100-year old villa, steeped in local history. Built in 1910, the 'Tora Outstation' was the original 'Musterers hut' of Tora Station. Relax and enjoy the rural ambiance whilst contemplating your forth-coming adventure.
The 'Tora Outstation' has a fully equipped kitchen to cater for up to 14 people. The long dining table embellished with fresh flowers and gorgeous large candles sets the atmosphere and scene for the impending delicious cuisine prepared by us or by you (optional).
Comfortable couches and armchairs surround the fireplace, while the latest magazines and board games adorn the antique chest.
There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. One of the bathrooms includes a divine, original old claw foot bath. Natural Trilogy products will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to relax.
Large spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds are swathed with Cotton linen and sumptuous duvets.
'Tora Outstation' facilities:
Kitchen facilities include fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, electric beater, coffee plungers, teapots, toasters, large zip for hot water, kettles and all standard kitchen equipment required for up to 14 people. Tea coffee and sugar supplied.
Bathroom facilities include 2 separate bathrooms (including 2 toilets, old claw-foot bath & 2 showers). Toilet-paper supplied.
Safe off-road parking is available for cars, campervans, etc.
Outside dining:
- Large deck with picnic tables to seat 14 people
- BBQ and bbq tools
- Umbrellas.
Bedrooms:
- Four bedrooms each sleeping up to 4 people
- 1 Bedroom with 4 single beds
- 1 Bedroom with a queen bed and a single bed
- 2 Bedrooms with a queen bed and 2 singles.
Linen:
- All linen supplied except bath and beach towels.
