TORA TORA ‘attack a track’. One of New Zealand’s first privately owned and operated purpose-built native bush mountain bike tracks professionally designed and built exclusively for Mountain bikers.
With over 350 acres of spectacular native bush, meandering creeks, pine forestry and coastal hill country farmland, few other places in New Zealand will offer the diversity of environment that ‘TORA TORA’ will. Predominantly set in native bush, the trails will snake through over 14kms of wide, single-track, flowing trails designed and built by one of New Zealand’s most specialised mountain bike trail builders.
With ever-changing vistas, the breathtaking and diverse scenery will be the only possible distraction from the thrills on offer. Burms, tabletops, moderate hill climbs, technical switchbacks, rollers and long open down-hills have been designed and built exclusively for both beginner and expert Mountain bikers. Depending on how riders opt to ‘attack a track’ both beginner and expert riders will feel challenged and rewarded. TORA TORA will also offer optional expert down-hills to challenge the more experienced riders.
‘TORA TORA’ is going to be an exhilarating adventure with tracks that embody the unspoiled nature of the landscape. Moderate hill climbs will deliver riders to breathtaking 360 degree views of the Southern Wairarapa, including the wild and rugged Tora coastline.
Enveloped by a huge variety of flora and fauna, you'll be awed by animal sightings, the unique smell of native bush and the feel of adrenalin pumping through your veins.
Located 34km SE of Martinborough 1½ hrs from Wellington, TORA TORA is scheduled to open in November 2010. It will be available to day trippers as well as those wanting to experience award winning hospitality and accommodation offered in the ultimate overnight getaway package.
